I'm a backend engineer and engineering manager with deep roots in Python and SQL — building data systems, APIs, and the teams that maintain them. I care a lot about code that lasts and teams that work well.

Lately I've been developing a serious interest in AI tools, particularly Claude, both as a force multiplier for my own work and as a subject I'm genuinely curious about. I'm figuring out what it means to build and lead in a world where these tools are becoming part of the stack.

When I'm not at a keyboard, I'm probably at the track or somewhere past mile ten. I train for marathons. It's the same slow compounding effort as good engineering — just measured in miles and suffering.
